rcvd in mail today. thanks for the trade.
Jeff changed after his mother moved out. It was better that way. Better not to feel, better not to care. Safer. No one seemed to notice anyway.
Then, years later, his mother invited him to visit her. Melody was as warm and as caring as he'd remembered. Or so he thought. And Jeff made a mistake. He started to open up, to trust. He'd forgotten about the pain.
Now he can't remember anything else.
2-12-07 mailed as a surprise trade. The receiver teaches 8th grade and although this is later in a series, it can still be appreciated by itself.
