Passed on to me by a friend who wished to have the book 'liberated'.

This book is a series of very short, apparently unrelated stories. There seems to be a common theme revolving around sexuality and most of the men featured are not portrayed in a very favourable light. Some of the stories felt a little mundane to me, and left me wondering what the point was. Still, Helen Garner has a good ear for dialogue and voices. Perhaps it will have greater appeal for someone else.
