When Jack MacEvoy, journalist, hears of his twin brother Sean's suicide, he feels that something isn't right about it - not least the suicide note that he's left that doesn't really sound like him. However, Jack becomes convinced by the seemingly irrefutable suicide and starts to write about suicide in the police force, which his brother was a part of.
However, very soon he begins to rethink his initial assessment of his brother's death and starts to investigate. Jack finds some peace in trying to discover his brother's murderer, in the way that he think his Sean may have done in the final case that he investigated.
Jack soon finds himself in a much larger case which stretches across several states.
I found this book really gripping if a little unbelievable in places - particularly when Jack comes up with the answers so many more times than those investigating with him and a bizarre mistake that is discovered alte on in the book.
Will probably wild release.
