I bought this book from Waterstones in Coleraine, Northern Ireland (well i was on holiday!) and it took me ages to read. I've read this book on a bench in Colston Bassett (little village in NOtts). I kept having to re-read parts because the characterisation is very detailed. THe author has a good grasp of the little things that happen in people's lives like the kind of front that people put on and the kind of expectations one has (unless you can resist!) when people reach a certain age. Its the little things that can make the difference!!

I know lots of people who love this book, however I have tried several times and never really got on with it. Having realised just how many books I have had for so long, I'm now passing it on for someone else to enjoy.
