I got more and more caught up in this book as I read along. The idea behind the book is this: Abley travels around the world, checking on endangered languages. The intriguing parts of the book, for me, were the parts that talked about quirky differences in languages and about how languages fill unique needs in a culture.

This has been on my wishlist for ages and looks excellent. I am particularly excited about this book because it is one that I suspect my Dad will enjoy when I am done; I love to share books with my Dad.
