The protagonist is a 13-year-old girl with three younger siblings who struggles to keep her family together when their mother abandons them. It's officially a kids' book (Newberry Medal winner), but I think many adults can appreciate it.
Today I showed my mother some books I planned to release soon. She wanted to read this one first. She'll pass it along.
