I'm leaving today for a conference in Nova Scotia and, apart from worrying about the quality of the work that I will present there, my biggest problem was what reading material to take along on the trip. I was standing in front of the bookshelf in an agony of indecision yesterday, unable to find anything that peaked my interest (yes and it was as horrible as it sounded LOL). So to have the doorbel ring at 7 this morning and finding our wonderful postman on the doorstep with a whole BOX filled with books that I wanted to read was a wonderful experience! This one packed in my luggage for the trip ... I wish I can read five books at once ;-)
I don't know how to thank you fungirl503, I looking forward to reading all the wonderful books that you have sent me. This will be a really memorable birthday for me :-)

Great book, I really enjoy Michael Moore's writing style. As a non-American, my opinion will not make a big difference in the way the country is run but I will state that I do agree with most of his points. Also, the looming energy crisis and the economics behind the US's foreign policy affects everyone on this planet. I hope more Americans read this book and, depite the fact that the 2004 election has happened already, act upon Michael's call for fundamental changes in the government (maybe by electing a Green or Democrat in 2008).
Thanks for this wonderful birtday present, fungirl503 (even though I could not wait until mt b'day to read it). My husband will read this book next and I think I will loan it later to a non-bookcrossing friend who may also find it interesting.
