Mailed as a RABCK

Journal Entry 3 by BookCemetery on Thursday, June 16, 2005
Great was the grief that greeted the news of the booknapping of this and a fellow Reading Companion, en-route to a fellow bxer as a RABCK. An evil deed, to steal and carry away a gift from one to another, evil and despicable! The Resurrection Team marked the papers concerning this foul business "To Be Further Investigated", meaning that the case will never be closed until the thief is bought to justice, as they will! A very moving Memorial Service was held in the Chapel of No Return and the memory of our dear missing Reading Companion (together with the memory of our Reading Companion's Travelling Companion) was released into the ether near the Memorial Rose Garden Etna Display (a special area of the Rose Gardens where there is a small patch of volcanic soil, and where blooms in profusion such beauties as "Lady Hamilton" and "Kiss Me Hardy") as the Choir gave a splendid rendition (in an eruption of emotion) an old Sicilian Folk Song...

"Lu me sangu, signuri, è pupulanu
e lu me cori nun ci n'ha patruni
me nonnu pi sapillu era viddanu
ma nun si scappiddò cu certarcuni,
la fami lacugghieva cu li manu
man un ci tuppuliò 'nta li purtuni,
di la me razza iu nun sugnu stranu
e cu nuddu mi mettu a ginucchiuni"

There was not a dry eye in the congregation.

Chief Mourner was Cyberkedi, who had to be supported during the Service. The Management and Staff of the Book Cemetery extend sincere condolences at this sad time.

R.I.P.

(Please note that this Service was part of a dual Ceremony, held in conjunction with the Service for the lost Travelling Companion "The Volcano Lover").
