Historical romance

I don't even remember what made me order it from Amazon. What I do remember is that once I started reading this 850 pages book I just couldn't let it down. The characters, the atmosphere, the happenings were really overwhelming. Before finishing the book, I had ordered the rest of the books (if you don't see them in my bookshelf, I just haven't had the time to register them, you can always ask me for them though!).

This was a very fun, fast-paced book. I little heavy on the romance at times for my liking. I plan on reading the rest of the series to find out what trouble Claire gets herself into next.

I've promised this book to Deesse so its on its way over the ocean to France today.

The book arrived some time last week (while I was with some pupils in Wales) - thanks JenLuvsBooks for reading it so promptly and sending it to me! Like this I can read this series in the correct order.

But now I really don't know which book to read next: My brand new Harry Potter or this big novel??? Hard question! :-)

Finally I read the Harry Potter first - but then this very nice novel!
I don't know where to start, I just loved it!
There's everything you want in one book: Romance, very funny passages (e.g. where Jamie explains to the stable lad that sex with a woman is not necessarily the same as what he had watched with the horses...), the heroine gets caught up in plenty of exciting adventures and you just want to keep on reading - luckily it was my holidays and I could! Now I'm ready for the bookring, asterw!
The characters are very well described, you really can feel with them.

I also liked the way the Scots accent was "shown" in the English ("ye", "wha'"...) - I felt like back in 1992 when I lived for a year in Scotland! I just don't think I could possibly convince my boyfriend to wear a Scottish kilt... ;-)

Thanks asterw and JenLuvsBooks for sharing it with me - I think I'll give it to a friend from Wales (who is no bookcrosser) next week, either for her to read or at least to release in Wales.
