Got it today from Leitora. When I'm finished I'll let you know what I thought.
"I am a sick man.... I am a spiteful man. I am an unattractive man."
What an opening line.
This is story is, like most of Dostoievski's work, about the human condition and the actions and thoughts of Man.
There is no hero, only a messed up and confused man trying to make some sense of his life and actions.
It's timeless and sometimes reading it I felt that he was talking about the late 20th century man as we know it, with that tremendous egotistical behaviour and that vileness that seemed to overcome all other emotions.

Since my computer crashed this e-book was lost in the wreckage. RIP
