Finished this today. I've been picking this up and reading the first few pages and putting it down again for ages now.
Eventually I lent it to my mum, who loves a nice fat book and she really enjoyed it. She gave it back to me last week and Ithought I should make a more concentrated effort with it :)

I found it a bit difficult to get into, but once my interested was engaged it became compulsive.
I have to say that I guessed the eventual outcome about a quarter of the way through, but it didn't detract from my enjoyment one bit.

I would say that this was a perfect holiday read and I almost wish I'd saved it for my holiday in June!

It is back in Brum, Ali! I have taken it from foxy737's amazing Perpetual BookBox. I recently read my granddaughter one of Adele Geras's children's books and we both enjoyed it so I am interested to read more of hers.
