Another good charity shop find! I've heard good things about this book so was really pleased to spot it in the shop for £1.50. It's now on Mount TBR and I hope to get to read it soon.

I read "Starter For Ten" last week but have only just found the time to type a journal entry on here about it. I really enjoyed the book, it was a nice easy read and perfect for the stressful time I was having when I read it. I would definitely recommend that other people read this book, it was funny and touching too.

I am doing a series of releases throughout August in memory of my beautiful cousin Aly. Aly lost her battle with cancer in May 2000 but I still mark her birthday each year as I still feel a need to celebrate what she brought to my life. Today would have been her 26th birthday. We were best friends all our lives, we shared everything. Aly was the person who pushed me when I felt fear, who held me up when I felt I couldn’t go on and loved me no matter what. I will miss her always.

Aly loved books as much as I do so it seems fitting that this year I will mark her birthday with some releases in her name. She would have loved BookCrossing. I’m going to donate £1 to Cancer Research UK for every book that is caught and journalled. Each book has her name written in it and on page 20 there is a silver star marking the age that Aly lived to.
