Having lost her mother at childbirth, Emma Litton has spent all of her life struggling to guarantee a place in her artist father's life. After spending much of her adult life in Paris as a nanny, she returns to England to settle into her father's studio at the Cornish seaside. Sian Thomas, a magnificent Emma, has a perfunctory ability to shift character portrayals. Whether personifying Emma's witty and talented half-brother Cristo; her deep and introspective father; or her admirer, the handsome art gallery owner, Thomas exudes warmth and creates vivid brush stokes of bold color. Soothing yet never boring, Thomas is a skilled narrator. B.J.P. © AudioFile 2001, Portland, Maine-- Copyright © AudioFile, Portland, Maine--This text refers to the Audio Cassette edition.

Put in the mail from South Carolina to Fantasma in Portugal. Enjoy!
And here it is! All the way from the other side of the Atlantic ;o)
Thanks, brownwhitetan!
"Emma Litton can't get on with her life until she finds out just what place she has in her father's heart. Even after she meets the handsome Robert Morrow and rediscovers her step-brother Christo, she still feels compelled to probe the truth about her past and ultimately the truth about herself."

This is my second Rosamunde Pilcher book and she really writes cosy stories, simple and that make you feel confortable. This little book "flys" before your eyes and you reach the happy ending in an instant.

Going today to Virgulina, I'm sure she has nothing to read, ahahahah!!!! ;o)
It's now with me, my TBR pile is so small! :op
Read it in one night, it's a very fast read. I was expecting something as heart warming as The Shell Seekers but I guess it was too short for that, it's still a lovely story and I enjoyed reading it. I just have one complaint, we are able to see that Robert's worry about Emma could only mean one thing but we never see anything of the sort from Emma's side. So when I got to the end I felt something was missing, some small inkling, anything that made me think that Emma felt the same way. But I liked the book anyway and I still want to read more of Rosamunde Pilcher's books.
This one is now going as a surprise to a friend! ;o)

Well, it was not so good as The Shell Seekers...
I had a girls dinner and I released it.
Who'is going to take it? Who's going to read it? Who's going to free it?

I've had it for the past few days. I've brought it to Finland with me and between the planes, the trains and few minutes stolen before falling asleep, I've finished it.
It's a quick read, perfect for summer, when you just want to read something entertaining and not deep.
I'll leave it here in Finland with a friend, for her to read whenever she has the chance for it :)

18.8. I picked up Mady from the train station and first thing for her to do when we arrived at my place was to give a bookcrossing book for me :). Thank you!
I left the book on a bench near Falck Fire Brigade.

Great book. I found the book in Legoland, one year ago, I took it with me to Norway but I forgot it at my cabin. I hope you will enjoy the reading.
I left the book at a train from Moss to Oslo.
