This is a fairly typical Minette Walters. Makes you want to read to the end, but not really quality prose. I did not really enjoy the story, found the characters thin and generally stereotyped. Still ok for a journey.
Transferred with us from the OBCZ at the Stamford Arms to the brand new OBCZ at the Barley Mow, 104 Horseferry Rd, Westminster, SW1.
we're a short walk from Victoria, Westminster and St James Park stations Stations, and on the 507 bus route from Waterloo (note this service only runs on weekdays).

Picked up at The Clarence meet 11/5/06
My first Minette Walters and I enjoyed it if you can say that about a story about paedophiles, missing children, bigotry and murder. It seemed disturbingly possible with people's preconceptions and hang-ups about paedophiles being a danger to everyone and the emotions stirred up in a community when one is found living among them. Altogether an easy read though I never really got to 'know' the chacters. The only one I felt was 'real' was Jimmy James the unlikely hero.
Off this goes to purplerosebud who won it in a bookswap.
Thanks for this bookswap book it has arrived today.
Merry Christmas and Happy Bookcrossing in 2007!!!!!!!
I'm moving this book on because Mt TBR is getting rather high. Taking to the meet up in Oxford tomorrow.
It didn't get taken at the meet up so I've brought it back to wild release when I'm out and about. I hope it finds a new reader and maybe even a new bookcrosser.
Releasing this book for PurpleRosebud tomorrow.
