RELEASE NOTES:

A surprise RABCK for DianaCoats
Enjoy!

Journal Entry 4 by DianaCoats from Hillsboro, Oregon USA on Sunday, February 19, 2006
For no reason that could be put on either paper or computer screen...beautiful RABCK arrived on my doorstep today. Funny how these books arrive at just the right moment, giving the heart that little nudge it needs to go on beating. Again, I find myself using redundant phrasing to thank the people of bookcrossing for enhancing the quality of my life on a daily basis. Against the background of quality there is always a snicker or two as well as people feel hellbent on the age old version of "he said" "she said"...although these posts are of the utmost importance to their authors I must take a moment to thank them for the frivolity they bring to my life. The sheer juxtaposition of body bags being shipped home against that of a stalled bookring can really put things in perspective. In the end, we release it all. I thank all of you who have released to me both the tangible and the without form or substance...you have made my workd just a litte brighter, the web of the spider a litte sweeter.
Thank you tireddebb...school shall pass and then crave the days you THOUGHT you were tired. And, as per the perfect symetry of the universe demands...thank you cliff...wherever you are.

This book went from tiredebbs tbr pile to mine. It has been there for almost two years...always being usurped by something else so it is time to send it on. On to Skye in her RABCK box.

Thanks so much to both DianaCoats and smilingheron for the RABCK box of books! So incredibly kind of you and what a surprise. I look forward to reading them all! And Dagny says woo-woo!

Journal Entry 7 by skizeye9 from Washington, District of Columbia USA on Monday, April 28, 2008
Wow. I will say it took me a long time to work my way through this book. It is heavy and not quickly paced. I did enjoy reading it. The writing is lyrical. The characters are complex and their tangential stories are fascinating. I think my main issue was how they pulled all these pieces together. I feel like the organization of the story could have been woven in a way that didn't leave the reader feeling like they were wandering with no destination. Insightful but made me bluesy. I apparently take on the mood a book puts me into and I didn't understand where it was coming from right then--but now I know for future reference! Thank you again kindly for the rabck--and I look forward to reading the others from the box!

A beautifully written book. Sometimes I found it hard to makes the leaps in subject or time - but I don't blame the writing - it could very well be my brain becoming hard (you know - like eye lenses and arteries) in my old age. It was lyrical and I had no problem with it keeping my attention. It is one of those rare books that needs to be read with the heart more so than the eyes and brain.
