Thank you so much for sending this book on! I am amazed at how quickly it got here. I selected this book for my book club group and I thought it would be great to find one that was available and get it started traveling the world instead of registering a new one. I look forward to finding someone to keep the bookcrossing chain going.

I selected this book for a book club that I participate in. I was very excited about it because the synopsis was reminiscent of another book I read and just loved called "A Yellow Raft on Blue Water". Sadly, I did not care for this book. I only finished reading it because it was my selection for the book club. I found that none of the other book club members enjoyed it either. The characters were largely unlikable. As the story was told from different characters points of view there were large gaps in different characters lives and we felt we missed important transitions to how the character came to be in their current situation and state of mind. I guess it was just too sad for me.

I have offered this book as a RABCK. I hope that the next reader enjoys the book more than I. I guess that Anne Tyler is just not my cup of tea.
