Diane Ackerman has become my favorite poet in just one book. Her poems are fascinating. I get wrapped up in the language and her structure in each individual poem just works. She captures the essence of love, the soul, and the wild world as well as day to day life. The only reason I gave it a 9 versus a 10 was that I wasn't in love with her structuring of the actual book, some things didn't fit. But otherwise it was phenomenal.
