Happily married for 13 years and then their world falls apart when a knock at the door from the police to arrest the husband. Did he or didn't he commit the crime. You will have to read this book to find out.

Loved this book. Didn't take me long to read it once I had started. Wanted to know how it was gonna end, although that was a bit inevitable considering the storyline. But it had a slight twist to it in the end. Would consider reading another of Alice Hoffman. Was very well written and on occasions thought provoking.

Another brilliant book from Alice Hoffman! I find her very similar to Jodi Picoult but a little more realistic and less cheesey (funny as I only got to know Alice Hoffman through Jodi Picoult's web page!) Deals with the what if factor.... What if the man you have loved for 13 years has a past that catches up with him? Can't wait to read more from her!

This has arrived and I will be able to read it in about a week- The Reading Group is next (also a bookring) after the next 200 pages of Pullman's Northern Lights for book club. I love Alice Hoffman and am looking forward to reading this.

I loved this book. I love the slightly magical feel to the events and people she describes. I think she is a much better writer than Jodi Picoult. I also loved The River King and Practical Magic. Her books seem to have a dark edge to them.
And now to Chocdrop- enjoy!

I struggled with this book - though it was no fault of the author. I just don't think I was in the right frame of mind to read it at this time.

It is a thought-provoking story, though. How much do we really know about the people who come into our lives?

I will be posting to Giggogg tomorrow.
