The story is told by Christopher John Francis Boone, who knows all the countries of the world and their capitals and knows every prime number up to 7,057 and relates well to animals but doesn't understand people. Christopher is also the most unlikely detective you will ever meet.
I've been wanting to read this book, and finding it at UBC just sitting on a table in a public space, waiting to be read, was a serendipitous moment!

The beginning seems a bit contrived but I got sucked in pretty quick. It's unlike anything I've ever read, due to the protagonist's autism. Interesting, eye-opening.
Makes me want to go to England. I just don't get why the dad talks like a cowboy. Howdy, pardner.
I think plans are to take this book to YVR. See where it ends up after that.
