Never Let Me Go
9 journalers for this copy...
Such a fine writer, such good reviews... so I bought it! I don't think I can even attempt to say what this is about before I have read it, but of course, one can always check online reviews!
Many thanks for sending this book to me. It arrived this morning & I will look forward to reading it & then trying to send it on another journey.
Firstly let me say I did not see the movie that was made from this story & as of now I have not read any other works of fiction by Kazue Ishiguro.
Now let me say that this was for me a very strange book.
I think that Ishiguro was trying to make us think about just how far morally the human race should be prepared to go in the brave new world that we are approaching. I found this book at times hard to put down & at other times it just seemed to drag & was actually quite tedious. The scenerio he lays before you, was for me very disturbing, but it did make me think. And that I believe was his idea.
Will be mailing this onto my daughter in the UK and then on a little mini-ray.

I like it, you need to finished it to properly understand what their talking about, even if you're already guessing it. Make me think about ethics and all the medical discoveries. easy to read and to enjoy.
Just shipped yesterday to Icila, enjoy ^^

Received yesterday. Thanks. I was looking forward to reading it since I had seem the edited movie in a muslim airline flight.
The enveloppe paper was torn out but, thanks, the book is safe. The mail-journey is very agressive, a lot of duck-tape or an air-filled enveloppe is mandatory.

I'm very happy to have read it. I guessed what was it about but without a lot of the scenes it was a bit frustrating.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
VictoriaWagtail asked to be skipped, the book is on its way to Kateportland in UK.
I just received this yesterday (and my apologies for the delay in the post office pick up - I was out of town last week, otherwise would have received this around the 12th!) I have a couple of library books to finish before they're overdue and will start on this immediately after. I can't wait to read it, thanks for including me!

I've just finished this and loved it! It has a slow build, a constant feel that things are not what they seem, and much like the teachers at Hailsham, much is said without the reader ever noticing that truths are being told. Brilliantly crafted.
On its way to sedna5213 as soon as I can get it in the post!

Controlled release to the next reader on the list. Enjoy!
Yay! The book arrived! I have been expecting to read this book for years. Funnily, it arrived to me on the same day as I opened a book circle where this is one of the books to be discussed. Hence, if it's not too much trouble, I would like to keep this copy until we have had the meeting where Ishiguro will be our topic. I will thus be able to show the English copy around (other readers will probably have read a Finnish translation). Not to worry, I will be in touch, updating about my reading experience and the upcoming schedule. Thank you so much for the ring!
Sorry I've kept this book for so long. It's about time it sets out again, to Sedna5213 in Germany.
The book arrived safely in Berlin! Thanks for sharing & sending! Have to finish another book, but it won't take to long (I hope).
Enjoyed reading the book.
