Read this a few years ago and thought it quite good as holiday read .My partner is much bigger O'Connell fan than I am.
Caught at the Edinburgh meet up.
I've read a couple of the other Mallory books. Think they're okay. I wasn't as keen on this one. The basic story was good but it was a bit rambling in places. I think the writer was trying to juggle too many themes. She's tightened this up in the later books. Still not really sure what the point of the prologue was as it didn't really tie into the rest of the book, or make you go "Oh, so that's what it was all about".
