Concerned for his professional reputation, Dr. Deer would much perfer that the death of his former client be revealed to be a murder.

This is the first book in what's to be a series based on Kylie and Ariana and their detective agency in California.
The mystery in this "episode" was wrapped up a bit too quickly, like the author was in a hurry to get the book to the printers. I don't like Kylie, she's rather shallow and focuses on sex too much.
The series sounded like a nice premise, so I don't want to sway anyone not to try it, but it's just not for me.
