FROM THE PUBLISHER
Are your kids out of control?
Are you at the end of your tether?
Do you want your life back?
You need Supernanny!
Meet Supernanny Jo Frost, a modern-day Mary Poppins here to rescue today's beleaguered parents by offering up her practical, road-tested methods of childrearing in an indispensable new book based on her ABC-TV series. With over 15 years of experience, Jo has seen it all -- from meals where food ends up all over the floor and tantrums at bedtime, to just plain stressed-out parents. Her strategies include:
Preventing fussy eaters from taking over mealtimes
Resolving your child's sleep problems, once and for all
Avoiding sibling rivalry battles
How to talk so your children will listen
How to enjoy parenting without its feeling like a chore
How to establish a routine that works for you
How to bridge the gap between you and your children
How to get the most from your children and yourself
Jo's methods are simple and will work for everyone: a regular routine and defined boundaries and consistency, backed up with plenty of love and attention. So whether your 2-year-old won't sleep through the night or your 4-year-old is on the rampage, Jo knows exactly what to do, and will show you how to do it. If you're one of those stressed-out parents who's desperate for a more peaceful home, Supernanny will be the answer to your prayers.

I'm going to rate this with an 8. ONLY because her techniques have worked for us. As a book, it's well laid out but not preachy and long. Very concise. However, I was a little disappointed in that there wasn't much new there. It is basically straight from the Television show.
HOWEVER - I have used her techniques (actually I had been doing most of the stuff already, just refined it with hers) and it has made a huge huge difference in my children (particularly my 4 year old) in the past six months or so.

Whoops! I wasn't logged in.

Received yesterday, but I didn't get a chance to journal it. Thanks a bunch! I love Jo Frost!
I was also a little disappointed that the book was basically a recap of all of the episodes. I'm a big fan, so of course, I've seen them! It was nice to have a little recap and emphasis in writing, though. We're potty training right now, so I paid attention especially to that section, lol.
