The book takes place in Wilmington, North Carolina. My brother and his wife live there as well as my oldest daughter. That situation is purely coincidental, but it is the reason that I have the book. I've stood in the murder site, charmed by its existence.
The book is readable. The author assumes that I know more than I do about her main character. Situations seem a little contrived. Still, it is better than watching prime time TV.
