The Kills

This is the fifth of Linda Fairstein's books about Alexander Cooper (herself), the first ADA of the Sexual Victim's Unit of NYPD. Because of her background, Fairstein is in a unique position to provide realistic details about NYPD, the city's courts, and various cases she's worked on. An interesting writer, she has not yet reached her peak as a novelist, but each book gets better and better. Her l994 non-fiction book, Sexual Violence, is strongly recommended.

I caught the book at the college I go to. I actually never read, because I have yet to find a book that can keep my attention. The Kills, however, did just that. It was a story that kept me at the edge of my seat, wondering what will happen next. I took the book to the hospital because I have spent so much time up there. My grandpa has been in there for over a month. I noticed that there are many people wondering aroud with nothing to do in the ICU waiting rooms, so I dropped my book there.
