Picked up from the office bookswap shelf in return for a short story collection. I've seen Douglas Coupland at the Edinburgh Book Festival and have enjoyed all his books that I've read. He's a novelsit who can unnervingly capture the Zeitgeist.
This is a thought provoking story of a high school massacre as seen through the eyes of four characters. The novel shows how a horrific incident can affect lives well into the future, and looks at questions of redemption and forgiveness.

Thanks! I've just acquired this book from the Bookcrossing Meet Up. Looking forward to reading it.....
Found this a relatively quick read cos quite a short book. However pretty deep stuff with complex characters - interestingly developed through the different sections/"narrators" in the the book.
The message I got from it all is to make the most of life cos you don't know how long you've got - and its all too easy to screw yourself up by hanging on to old hurts - but you're only hurting yourself more by doing so.
