"Enormous and brilliant...A great epic tale...Crammed with characters unbelievably alive across the great gulf of countries...touches all human emotion-love and hate, loyalty and treachery, hope and despair. see for yourself. This is truly a novel to get lost in and one of the marvels of the publishing year."
The best book I have ever read!

Released 17 yrs ago (4/10/2005 UTC) at School post service in By mail, A Bookring -- Controlled Releases
WILD RELEASE NOTES:
On it's way to Bookmanu in Portugal!May it's journey be safe!
The book has arrived safe and sound...It must have had quite a journey. The original envelope it was sent in was badly torn. Luckily someone from one of the postal handling centres along its trip from Kuwait to Portugal put it in a nice, protective, clear plastic bag!
Will read and send it on its way soon.
Wow! I wasn't expecting 971 pages! The story was well worth reading....it was certainly 'a great epic tale', following the trials and tribulations of a few families in 12th century England over a period of around 50 years. While reading the book I was transported to 'Kingsbridge' and Winchester in the middle ages. This is the first Ken Follett book I've ever read. I'm now looking forward to reading more.
Thanks for sharing it aussieQ8! The book was mailed to Guadi on Monday 23 May.
It has just arrived yesterday. Thanx.
Thanx aussieQ8, i really enjoy reading this book. It's enormous but it's worth reading.
The book is going to be mailed today to Sublevel4.
Arrived today with the mail. Not sure when I'll have time to read it as I am currently not finished with the book I am reading and this is the 2nd Bookring book to arrive this week. Anyhow, I'll get on to it asap... Thanks to all for the book!
A brilliant book! Didn't want it to end...
As soon as I have lauraloo29's address I'll send it on its way.
Put in the post and sent to Canada today.
Arrived today. Forgot this was a ring. Yikes! :) 950+ pages! Not to worry. I'll keep the book moving. Thank you!
Update - September 21st: I am 2/3 through! I'm enjoying the book but not getting as much reading time as I had hoped. I should finish by the end of the weekend. :)
Whew! What a read! Its been a while since I've read a thick book. I enjoyed it. I dont' seem to have read much on this time in history. I really liked the character of Alina. I really liked the fact that it didn't get bogged down too much in the history and politics. Too many times in historical fiction the fictional characters have to interact too much with historical characters. This was just enough.
I did find myself frustrated to get to the end. I just wanted to know the answer to the secret. :)
Thank you for sharing. This will be in the mail on Monday.
This book arrived with today's mail and it is quite big. It may take me a while to read it. Thanks lauraloo29 for sending it to me.

Released 16 yrs ago (10/21/2005 UTC) at Bookring in Bookring, A Bookring -- Controlled Releases
WILD RELEASE NOTES:
I have mailed this book off to Gran-Ducato by air mail today. It is three weeks now since the book arrived and I have not been able to get to it yet, so I bought my own copy and will read it at my leisure. I did not want to hold the book up any longer. Enjoy!
I've just got it, today 11/11/05, I think it is the longest bokk I've ever had. I just hope it doesn't take too long for me to read it in order to pass it allong as soon as possible.
THANKS FOR THE BOOKMARK, LOVE A MYSTERY, IT IS PRETTY NICE, AND I DIDN'T HAVE ANYONE LIKE IT, THANKS AGAIN.........
DECEMBER 18th, I'm in the middle of the book so I expect to finish it in the next couple on weeks, sorry it's taken me too long to read it but it is a loooong book
Wow, I believe, despite all the years between this book and our time, things are also exactly the same. So much tragedy, so much pain of innocent people. It's a good book even though I had higher expectations. This book is on its way o Ireland, enjoy it.
