In downtown Kitchener, near the corner of Charles and Queen, there's a large dumpster-sized bin. It's meant for recycleable paper, and it's usually jammed with old newspapers. I was down there last week, and as I walked by I noticed a box of books sitting in front of it! I just couldn't leave them there! There were two copies of this 1987 book.
I've read this before, several years ago. Two government experiments involving creatures being given human intelligence, one good and one loathsome, escape from their laboratory. I was grabbed from the beginning.
