This weighty tome is fantastic. Women from different strands of life find their plans rapidly changing as their lives are shaped by circumstances beyond their control. The characters were great and huge as the book is, their stories captures my imagination. Kelly is a great observer of human nature: I really appreciated her wit and wisdom and would love to read more of her books. Sorry, I can't post this to anyone as it's 656 pages long!

Easy reading novel about a year in the life of 5 main characters - I loved the way it switched through the characters and then somehow bound them all together. Left me wanting another chapter just to see them in another 12 months!
