Used paperback passed to me by a friend to "do the bookcrossing thing". So here it is, to be released. Not planning to read it only because fantasy stories are not an easy genre for me to follow.

I really enjoyed the first book in The Chronicles of Prydain series. This is a wonderful introduction to several of the main characters - Taran, Eilonwy, Fflewddur, Gurgi, and Gwydion. Thanks for sharing this book with me, Bunnybee!

Thank you so much! I can't wait to get to this series, although it'll most likely have to wait until this summer. :)

As raralovestoread said, The Book of Three is a fantastic introduction to the characters; what a motley crew of they are! I especially found Gurgi wonderful, he rather reminds me of Dobby from Harry Potter a bit, and his rhyming sayings made me smile and/or chuckle (my favorite being 'with great squeakings and shriekings'). I can't wait to read further adventures with the gang. :)

I was sad to hear that Lloyd Alexander passed away recently (I think it was May 17), but am glad his words are around for people to discover and enjoy.

This is a very enjoyable, fast-paced journey to spend a few hours reading, and I can't wait to read the next one.
