This book made me giggle. It had some great lines like "Schlepping is not a source of female empowerment. We can't be liberated if we're bogged down with crappola 24/7" and some great chapter titles like "We Don't Shape History by Shaping Our Thighs"

Overall it's amusing, but sometimes the writer did too much explaining rather than let her anecdotes do the talking.

I really enjoyed this book - from beginning to end.
Passed onto FutureCat for her birthday at Pancho's Bulimba.

Thanks Neesy for a great book, and a fantastic birthday cake!

I read this on the plane home, and I'm sure I was getting funny looks from the people around me because I kept giggling at it. A really fun book that proves that feminism isn't dead yet (and you don't even have to eat tofu!). I can think of so many women who absolutely *need* to read this book...

Passed on to Lytteltonwitch at today's breakfast meetup in honour of Otakuu's visit. Not that she needs to read it at all - I think she's already figured out most of the advice in this book for herself!

I loved this book. It made me laugh out loud and I often found myself saying "oh, yes, me too!".

I've passed it on to another feisty wench to read!!! And I know several others who need to read this. :)
