P. Evans only seems to feign interest and affection for cycling and Spain for the first bit of the book, to get you hooked. Then she proceeds to, once you've bought it, start whining and complaining about everything inherent to the two. Sure, I'm biased because I love cycling/cycle touring, and Spain; I'm not the most objective judge. But I could barely finish the book, it was so painful to continue reading her bitching page after page. This would be a good example of terrible travel writing, unfortunately.
