This is from one of my favorite series. I plan on doing a bookring with this series. Unfortunately she has been releasing only one a year to this series. So far she has been releasing them in the Spring time. So hopefully she'll have a 4th soon. This waiting just kills me. :)

Book order so far in series.

1.A Kiss Of Shadows
2.A Caress Of Twilight
3.Seduced By Moonlight

"I am Princess Meredith, heir to a throne---
if I can stay alive long enough to claim it."

After eluding relentless assassination attempts by Prince Cel, her cousin and rival for the Faerie crown, Meredith Gentry, Los Angeles private eye, has a whole new set of problems. To become queen, she must bear a child before Cel can father one of his own. But havoc lies on the horizon: People are dying in mysterious, frightening ways, and suddenly the very existence of the place known as Faerie is at grave risk. So now, while Meredith enjoys the greatest pleasures of her life attempting to conceive a baby with the warriors of her royal guard, she must fend off an ancient evil that could destroy the very fabric of reality. And that's just her day job...

Arrived safely yesterday along with its two companions. I'm in the middle of packing to go to the BC-AUS convention in Brisbane next week, so I probably won't get a chance to read them until I get back, but I'll try not to hold them up for too long.

Told you I'd read this one faster :-) (actually, I started reading it yesterday, so I didn't actually read it in one sitting, but it wasn't far off).

Enjoyed this book much more than the first, probably because it took me most of the first book to get into the story. This one took a while to get going too, but once it did it was an interesting story - the ending felt a bit rushed, though (maybe because the author had spent so long on the build-up, she had to squeeze the denouement into the last couple of chapters).

I came to this series from Hamilton's Anita Blake series. I've got to say, I like this staryline better.

Some of the repitition that others have complained of is, I suspect, text Hamilton included so that readers who jumped in mid-series know what is going on.

Like I said, I'm a Hamilton fan and now have more of her work to claim fandom, This and the other books in this series are recommended!

Contacting next ring member so I can get these in the mail.
