Gilead: A Novel

I loved this book so much that that I'm saving it to read again. I almost never do this. But I love the characters of the dying old man, the wayward son of a friend, the young boy. I love the old man's thoughts about life and death, about salvation and redemption, about the continuity of things, and about how things don't always turn out like you plan, about life in a little town.
For me, a 10/10.

I was planning to simply browse through this book before our online bookgroup began to discuss it, but I ended up rereading the whole thing. This rarely happens with me. I loved it just as much as I did the first time.

I'm putting this out in my Little Free Library so that someone else can read it and enjoy it.
