Borderlands/LA Frontera: The New Mestiza
2 journalers for this copy...
The late, great Anzaldúa gives us a thought-provoking book about the border-- the socio-political one that divides the US and Mexico, as well as the cultural ones that separate Xicanos from Anglos, women from men, straights from gays. A powerful argument for celebrating, rather than shunning, the children born at the crossroads.
I keep another copy of this (unregistered) in my permanent collection. Anzaldúa is one of my idols. Ibaé!
