Chick Lit by the author of Jemima J. Not nearly as enchanting as Jemima J, I fear.

Libby Mason, a rising publicist, has been on a near permanent quest to be rich and trendy, it seems. This includes both her choice of career and her search for men. While she quite enjoys Nick, a new conquest, as he's hot, sexy, charismastic and fun, he's a writer with no deal who is actually on the dole - new for her, and a huge commitment-phone. When Ed comes along, a stodgy but extraordinarily wealthy bachelor, Libby has to examine the person who is right for her versus the mansion and Gucci bag that are right for her.

Pretty predictable. Obviously the theme has been done before, but it's been done better. Still, a light, easy read.

I've read two of Jane Green's books now, and they seem to have the same basic lesson, you may think you want something entirely superficial, like a great body or lots of money, but it won't make you happy. I spose that is a good lesson, but my goodness, do we have to be so obvious about it?
