The usual surreal wonder from Murakami. Fate, identity and various other weighty matters including various unsavoury WW2 activities, are explored with kooky charm. Great stuff and so original. Cheers. This goes to Veganknitter now.

Blimey! This was a struggle. Perhaps I'm really shallow...
This is only the second Murakami I have read in it's entirity and I was compelled to finish it, I can say that.
I did enjoy the interlinking stories in the narrative and the clues that kept reoccuring but found it a bit of a strain.
I was worried about the cat, mostly.
I wonder if rather unattractive men get to sleep with willing attractive women in all his books?
Not a book I will ever read again I don't think but I am kind of glad I have read it (I think).
