Ark Baby
5 journalers for this copy...
Ark Baby is a thoroughbred among comic novels. Jensen entwines her narritives with careful relish to evoke a world whose evolutionary path meanders more than we might expect; a world where Darwin comes within 10 seconds ot witnessing the missing link that would undermine his theory. Ambitious, mischievous, clever and very funny.

Picked this up in Rosie O'Grady's at the end of the Oxford release walk. I read another book by Liz Jensen a couple of years ago and loved it, and put all her books on my wishlist as a result. Really pleased to be able to cross this one off!!
Just discovered I have two copies of this on the shelf - not sure how that happened - so this one will be released.

Could be anywhere - left it on a train !
Found in the toilet of the London to Carmarthen train on my way home from London. I did read it, but not really my sort of book. I struggled to get through it, and got confused by the different narratives.
Will now pass it on, maybe on my next train journey?

Further to my previous post:
Before passing on Ark Baby, my friend read it and pronounced it 'quite funny' and gave it 5 out of 10.
I stayed at Ty'n Cornel hostel on 30th June 2008 and decided to leave the book there. Someone might appreciate it on a rainy day in this remote hostel in mid Wales. A great place if you like hills and solitude. (www.elenydd-hostels.co.uk)
