Went to use a phone box and saw it there. I was surprised as I had read one of the stories in this book in a collection of short stories by various authors last year whilst working in Slovakia. I had enjoyed the story and wanted to read the book ' A bit of singing and dancing'.
My wife is now reading this book and I think it will be on its way to the Czech Republic after that.
The book itself is a collection of interesting, rather melancholic stories which conjure up strong images, particularly of past-their-prime British seaside resorts and people whose lives have passed them by. Some repetitive themes in the stories though.
