A young, spoiled Chinese prince sets off on a journey to find a far-away mythical kingdom.  Along the way, he loses all his possessions and gathers an unusual group of companions who help him to learn self-confidence and self-reliance, to prepare him for the time when he will take back the Empire as his own.  It’s a good tale in its way, but for me it still fails to rise to the heights of Alexander’s Chronicles of Prydain.
