This arrived in the post last night as part of the booker ring.

wow...looks like a very detailed read which will probably stretch my abilities. I may have to forego some other books to come to terms with this one. I have always ment to read it but I still dont have much of an idea what its is really about.

Whooo. Finally finished this after taking over a week to read it. It's got to be a record for me. The book was strange, about halfway it picked up it's pace and introduced a plotline which was really good then promptly wrote it out again. To be honest I don't know if it was worth struggling with so long.

Received in July due a problem with the local post office.

I haven't read anything from Rushdie. I hope I haven't had probs in reading his novel. I mean because the vocabulary, etc.
