Yet another copy of this superb story, held in reserve till I find it a good home. To call it the best of post-apocalyptic novels is to undersell it as a portrait of indomitability in the face of adversity.

Don't let the far-future language put you off -- this is one to treasure!

Thanks D. Started it last night. This certainly isn't
Bread and Jam for Frances!

A book of startling honesty about power and corruption
and about what we believe and why. Blending remnants myth with bits of Christinaity and new myth that has
developed since nuculear holocaust leveled society
Riddly Walker, a post fallout Huck Finn tries to create an understanding of the world he lives in. it is hard to know what to say about this very original book. Unlike many "original" or unconventional books, this slender tale of a young man's journey has more than its unconventiality to recommend it.

The books argot is difficult at first, but within in
a chapter or so one catches on.
