Lots of high tech, cornucopia machines and spaceships traveling in closed timelike curves to battle the Festival, an entity that comes to an isolated world and delivers high technology that explodes the repressive social order. Reasonably engaging characters who seem like more than machines, but the politics are a bit crude and libertarian, with not much regard for the lives lost in the great transition to total information awareness.
