This was an excellent read; a hard-boiled tale of art thefts, murder, affairs and shady goings on in California and Arizona.

I found this a little slow to start with, and I thought the characterisation was rather flat. It built steadily, however, into a well-crafted thriller with some interesting twists and turns, though I still felt it lacked any real tension or pace.
