Not at all what I had hoped it would be after reading Like Water For Chocolate. Absorbing this story felt like being in a dream where things seem logical at the time but later, when you tell someone what happened, none of your logic pans out, you feel disoriented, even deceived by your perceptions. I got a laugh out of how the technology depicted in the book seems a bit archaic while being far fetched at the same time. Good fantasy if you can relax and let yourself accept wierdness, especially the inter-body travel.
