At 16 Em is torn from her school and friends in Seattle to go live in "Piddington-on-the-weld, England for a year because her father is a medieval scholar! She has: a ghost in her underwear drawer, No malls, is put back a year in school on a technicality, a radical sister that protest everything, a father called Brother, and a mother that is always trying to give her sex talks. Plus dealing with being the new kid in school, AND being an American!! And you thought you had problems. Funny/tragic typical teen life horrors. Oh and did I forget to mention boys, boys, boys!??!
