I got this book today and since I had just finished the other bookring book I had in my possession, I started on it immediately. On chapter 3 right now and so far it's holding my interest quite nicely. Of course, I'll write more about my thoughts after I finish it. Thank you Ruth for sharing this. :)

Wow! This book totally blew me away. Best Koontz book I've read yet, and I thought Odd Thomas would be a tough act to follow. I may have to pick up a copy of this book for own PC bookshelf so I can let hubby and all my other non-BC friends read it too. :)

Great character development, suspense, the kind of book I didn't want to put down. At times, I was so anxious to know how a particular situation would turn out that I'd find myself skipping ahead a couple of chapters, and then immediately scolding myself for doing so. Screw going to bed! I must read a few more chapters so I can see how this part turns out! LOL

Though it contained plenty of suspense, it was also a love story in a sense, not a romance, but so many parts of the book, and particularly the end, gave me the warm fuzzies--the kind that bring tears to your eyes. I guess touching is the right word, as the story touched me on so many levels. It made me laugh, it made me cry, it held me in thrall. An excellent read indeed!

This will be going out in tomorrow's mail to JeepACV in Maryland via Media Mail. Stamps.com Delivery Confirmation Number: 02010521297443312110.

Bookring arrived today. Going on the top of TBR and I'll pass it on soon.

Thanks for sharing this one, I'm really looking forward to it! In fact, I'm tempted to skip running group on Tuesday night and my business management class on Wednesday night just to get it started... otherwise I'll have to wait until Thursday or Friday to dive into this one... ARGH!

I just love Dean Koontz books! When you think you've got him all figured out, he throws you a new one.

Not as creepy as some of his other books, lacking in large doses of the paranormal. Very entertaining! I may have to go out and get my own copy!

I've PM'd MaryGrim for her address and I'll be sending it on its way soon.

I got this book while on vacation and finished it up the other night. It was a quick read and mildly entertaining, but by the end I was ready for them to kill all the dang clowns.

I'm pm'ing odlreader in the ring after this post and plan to have the book in the mail on Monday.

Got in mail yesterday - I also have another ring ahead of it but is slow book. Picked this one up today and have read quite a bit already. Will keep plugging away at the other one and will most likely use this one to keep me reading in between times :) This book is very, very good so far!

This book sold me with the very first paragraph - I read to my daughter and she said that she would read just based on that!

Will journal again soon!

Absolutely could not put it down! I agree with some before me that thinks this could almost be his best. I think what I enjoyed was the humor in it - some obvious and some underlying. I pm'd dodau who is next on the list!

Journal Entry 14 by ariesgirl29 on Friday, May 13, 2005
Sending on to dodau today - enjoy!

I've had no books in the post for a whole week and then today have arrived. And what makes it worse is that both are ones I really want to read. What a dilema. But they next after the book I'm reading now so they will be both read by the end of the weekend.

Dean K is one of my favourite authors and I always buy his paperbacks as soon as they hit the shops. So the chance to read one before it comes out here was great. And it was well worth it. I loved this book and couldn't put it down.
Josef Tock predicts on his deathbed that his grandson Jimmy will have 5 terrible days in his life. But what will happen and how will it be linked to the other baby that night.
Pming Rrcaron to relunctantly send this home
