It was extremely interesting reading this as the George Floyd protests are happening. It's like living in this pivotal moment and then reading about its origins and seeing how deeply embedded these attitudes are... This added a lot of food for thought to my response to what's happening around us.
As for the book itself, I actually liked it. There's a lot going on here, and I'm debating seeing if there's more McCleary books to be read...
