Different time, different place, different character names with a few quirks changed, but basically it's the same old, SAME OLD, formulaic, Woman-in-distress-falls-in-love-with-a-man-who-just-happens-into-her-life-as-a-result-of-the-disaster-which-causes-her-distress-in-the-first-place.
Sometimes I like to read a formulaic novel to escape my own woes, and this one fits the bill nicely. And there's the additional bonus that so many other people have read this book that it can serve as a conversation starter.
But, really, I think the formulaic novel of this genre has been done so much better by so many others that I kinda put this in the "Wonder Bread" category.
