Trauma Junkie: Memoirs of an Emergency Flight Nurse
1 journaler for this copy...
Personal narratives from a former Calstar Emergency Flight Nurse. Interesting stuff if you like emergency medecine and/or if you're familiar with Northern California. I think that the main reason I liked these stories--in spite of the rather predictable tone---is that I lived in that area of California during the same time that her stories are set. So her reports of the Oakland Hills fires, and the Earthquake that levelled parts of the freeway and disrupted the Bay Bridge hit home for my personal history. (Once one survives such disasters when not all of your friends make it through alive, it seems that the stories others have to offer about the events become a comfort.)
